About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Paralegal to join our legal team at OneEnergy Renewables. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, construction, and sale of solar energy projects across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare real property lease agreements and memoranda of lease agreements.
  • Conduct national title searches, title reports, title commitments, surveys, and due diligence searches.
  • Assist with maintaining electronic files and due diligence data rooms.
  • Coordinate project sale closings with all parties in the transaction.
  • Review lease options and leases for assignment and prepare assignment and amendment agreements.
  • Obtain and prepare corporate documents, including authorizations for purchase and sale.
  • Conduct public record searches of parties, including judgments, tax liens, and UCC filings.
  • Prepare closing documents, including transfer documents, affidavits of transferors, and closing certificates.
  • Review and analyze property surveys, preparing documentation to resolve survey and title issues.
  • Track and evaluate state and local policies, incentives, and regulations impacting renewable energy property tax rates.
  • Support the development team in property tax negotiations and abatement.
Requirements
  • A post-baccalaureate paralegal certificate or associate's degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience as a real estate paralegal, with a focus on commercial real estate and title insurance.
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing real estate-related contracts and ground leases, as well as assignment, consent, non-disturbance, and other related documentation.
  • High-level experience with national title searches, national lien searches, UCC filings, and other matters related to real-estate transactions.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in real-estate related paralegal work, with a focus on development of unimproved real property and title insurance.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across functional and operational lines.
