As a vital member of the American Red Cross, you will play a crucial role in the blood donation process, ensuring that every step is executed with care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate blood collection vehicles to transport essential supplies, equipment, and personnel to various mobile donation sites.
- Engage with donors to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, helping them understand the significance of their contributions.
- Collaborate with team members to set up and dismantle equipment at donation locations, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail to guarantee that collected blood meets all regulatory standards and can be safely transfused.
Work Schedule:
This position requires flexibility, with varying hours throughout the week, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as necessary.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this role is $21.00.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Experience in customer service and strong verbal communication skills are essential.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Physical capabilities to lift and maneuver heavy items, as well as the ability to adapt to varying work hours, are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in healthcare or phlebotomy roles is advantageous, along with any leadership experience.
