The Business Leadership, Fashion, and Hospitality department is seeking applications for part-time faculty positions in the field of Entrepreneurship.

Our academic programs are designed to equip students with essential knowledge, practical skills, and experiences necessary to thrive in competitive job markets, as well as to prepare those who wish to pursue further education.

Additionally, there are opportunities for personal development and community engagement through various events, guest lectures, and student organizations.

Entrepreneurship & Innovation Proficiency Certificate is an 18 credit-hour program tailored for students eager to launch or work within entrepreneurial ventures.

This program aims to align students' entrepreneurial aspirations with the skills, knowledge, connections, and critical thinking abilities necessary to nurture their entrepreneurial spirit.

Faculty Responsibilities

  • Deliver courses in Entrepreneurship covering topics such as entrepreneurial thinking, diversity in entrepreneurship, risks and failures, human resources for entrepreneurs, and business launch strategies.
  • Facilitate effective communication, embrace diversity, and promote collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster success at the college and departmental levels.
  • Identify and address challenges proactively.
  • Employ effective teaching methodologies and technologies to accommodate a diverse student body.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and contribute to the academic community.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment, demonstrating sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of students.
  • Engage in continuous assessment and course enhancement to meet educational objectives.
  • Aim for excellence in teaching by applying best practices and modeling behaviors that support student success.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and developments in the field to enhance teaching and student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in entrepreneurship or small business management.
  • Experience in developing and managing an entrepreneurial venture or small business.
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively utilize teaching strategies and technologies for both in-person and online learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience in developing and implementing a business plan.
  • Active involvement in industry-related professional development activities.
  • Experience teaching at a community college level.
  • Willingness to engage in the intellectual life of the department and the broader college community.
