We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Drexel University's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a critical role in teaching and mentoring students in our User Experience and Interaction Design (UXID) program.

Job Summary

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in the UXID program, including User Interface Design, Interaction Design, Web or Mobile App Prototyping, Front End or Back End Development, and User Experience Design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UXID and experience teaching in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities
  • Teach required number of credit hours per quarter based on contract.
  • Teach studio, lecture, and/or practicum courses per contract.
  • Plan and provide instructional experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the program.
  • Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes.
  • Maintain communication with the program director regarding any course or student issues.
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching or professional experience.
  • Ability to teach in-person as assigned.
  • Ability to teach evenings and/or weekends as assigned.
