Directional Drill Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team at C-2 Utility Contractors. As a key member of our underground construction team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, including directional drills, backhoes, and excavators, to install and repair underground utilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate directional drill equipment on job sites, including setup and maintenance
- Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the job site
- Develop and maintain a bore schedule
- Set up and clean up job sites
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks
- Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
- Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers, and flag traffic as needed
- At least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States for this company
- Valid standard driver's license or Class A commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement
- Able to maintain a safe work environment
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to lift/carry 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds as needed with or without assistance
- Able to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call
- Experience with drilling equipment and understanding of their capabilities and limitations
- Able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
- May have experience with drill setup and design processes
- Able to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
- Able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects
- May have previous construction or utility construction experience
- Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
