An esteemed global machinery firm is in search of an Electrical Controls Engineer to enhance their engineering team. This role entails traveling to various sites, both local and international, to execute the pre-commissioning and commissioning of compressor systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct programming and configuration of PLCs, HMIs, and vibration monitoring systems, ensuring seamless integration with various types of transmitters.

- Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to refine and enhance the company’s standard documentation, including control sequences, wiring diagrams, and Factory Acceptance Test (F.A.T) documents.

- Operate independently across diverse locations, representing the company with utmost professionalism and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Successfully carry out internal and witnessed F.A.Ts and S.A.Ts, providing constructive feedback on existing Electrical Engineering documents.

- Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks, troubleshooting systems in the field as necessary.

- Generate and submit daily service reports, customer timesheets, invoices for billing, travel itineraries, and updates on PLC and HMI programs while adhering to company policies.

- Develop troubleshooting skills to address issues and enhance the operational efficiency of compressor systems.

- Execute wiring and modifications to PLC/HMI programs to guarantee optimal performance of the compressor systems.

Qualifications:

- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in PLC and HMI logic and programming across various software platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Omron) is required.

- Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering, design, and office software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPlan, Excel) is essential.

- Demonstrated ability in programming, testing, and simulating control systems (including transmitters, control valves, PLCs, and control panels) is crucial.

- Willingness to travel frequently is necessary.

- A solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and industry practices is expected.
