Job Summary

Mid Michigan College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Biology Faculty member to teach courses in the assigned discipline. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and teaching courses, developing syllabi, and assessing student academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Course Development: Teach assigned classroom courses, develop and update syllabi, and ensure course content meets college and accreditation requirements.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessment tools to determine course effectiveness and ensure student outcomes are achieved.
  • Student Support: Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students, maintain accurate classroom records, and hold regular office hours.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with full-time and adjunct faculty, attend staff meetings, and participate in in-service programs.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in teaching and learning, and adhere to college policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree required, preferably in the assigned course discipline.
  • Experience: One year of teaching college-level courses in the discipline area, with experience in online instruction and community college environments preferred.
