Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily assessments of production variances and work closely with operational teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Oversee work order processes to guarantee prompt closure and precise cost documentation.
  • Evaluate and adjust new item pricing as required.
  • Execute manufacturing journal entries, including accruals and variance corrections.
  • Engage in the review and updating of standard costs.
  • Prepare and deliver inventory reconciliation reports.
  • Support the budgeting process and assist in monthly forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to establish inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by Finance Leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
  • CMA certification is advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP and cost accounting standards.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JDE, OneStream, and Business Objects.

The Lead Cost Accounting Specialist position is ONSITE ONLY and follows a MON-FRI 8 FLEX schedule. This is a contract role.
