Position Overview

The CNC Machining Expert is responsible for operating and setting up advanced CNC machinery, specifically Swiss-style machines. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up machines such as Citizen Swiss K-16, L-20, L-32, and M32Y.
  • Conduct inspections of parts during production to ensure dimensional and visual quality.
  • Continuously monitor equipment and tooling for optimal performance.
  • Notify the Department Lead in case of breakdowns or disruptions.
  • Follow detailed instructions from process sheets, drawings, and programs.
  • Assist colleagues in troubleshooting and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Review and retest programs to eliminate errors and ensure functionality.
  • Measure finished work pieces using precision instruments to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings and tools as necessary to resolve operational issues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED, along with five years of relevant experience or training.

  • Strong presentation skills for effective communication in small group settings.
Physical Demands

This position requires light to moderate physical exertion, including:

  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, reaching, and movement within the facility.
Work Environment
