About the Role

Mgdezine is seeking a highly skilled UX Design Lead to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions to improve the user experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business units, external customer groups, and development staff to understand and define UX improvements for our external web presence.
  • Work on Agile teams, advocating for the user's needs and collaborating with Product Managers to develop features that align with user needs.
  • Create high-level design concepts, including sketches, journey maps, storyboards, user flows, and other design artifacts to effectively communicate interaction and application design concepts.
  • Develop and maintain UX documentation, including navigational flows, clickable prototypes, wireframes, mock-ups, use cases, task flows prototypes, and functional requirements in an Agile environment.
  • Design and develop the user experience and information architecture for digital experiences, defining functionality, navigation, and interaction models through page-level wireframes, site-maps, use cases, and functional requirements.
  • Develop prototypes (low and high fidelity) to communicate micro-interactions and design concepts.
  • Document and communicate complex, data-driven experiences with attention to detail.
  • Lead and facilitate brainstorming and sketching sessions with product teams.
  • Collaborate with other UX team members and stakeholders to understand and design based on user and business needs as well as technical considerations.
  • Provide and receive UX feedback to/from peers.
  • Participate in concept testing, usability testing, and analytics to understand target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals.
  • Collect and action UX feedback from customers/end users and manage changes to UX deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Mentor and coach staff in understanding and building better UX designs.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in user experience architecture (Information Architecture).
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to create understandable, well-thought-out wireframes and experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to document complex, data-driven designs.
  • Significant experience documenting user interfaces with Visio, Sketch, Lunacy, InVision, or similar tools.
  • Significant experience developing interface mock-ups and annotated wireframes.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment preferred.
  • The ability to understand complex systems and large sets of data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and considerations.
  • History of defining application functionality and creating interfaces in the absence of business requirements.
  • Prototyping skills.
