  • The selected advanced practice provider will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, primarily focusing on follow-up care for patients with intricate endocrine conditions, especially diabetes.
  • Comprehensive mentorship and onboarding support for new providers.
  • Access to customized APP Endocrinology EPIC templates and designated administrative time each week.
  • Work Schedule: Full Time - Daytime hours with no weekend or holiday shifts.
  • Patient Care: Spend 90% of your time in outpatient settings and 10% in inpatient care at Backus Hospital, focusing on diabetes consultations.

Qualifications

Applicants must be eligible for licensure in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required.

Experience in endocrinology or diabetes as a PA, NP, clinical student, or RN is preferred.
