Hartford HealthCare, recognized as the most extensive healthcare network in Connecticut, is offering a remarkable opportunity for an Endocrinology Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) to become part of our established and collaborative Endocrinology team.
Key Features of This Role:
- The advanced practice provider will work closely with a proficient team of healthcare professionals, primarily focusing on follow-up care for patients with intricate endocrine conditions, especially diabetes.
- Comprehensive mentorship and onboarding for all new advanced practice providers.
- Utilization of customized EPIC templates for endocrinology and dedicated administrative time each week.
- Work Schedule: Full Time with a daytime schedule, free from weekend and holiday shifts.
- Patient Care: Spend approximately 90% of your time in outpatient services and 10% in inpatient settings at Backus Hospital, conducting diabetes consultations.
- The program caters to a diverse patient population with various complex endocrine disorders, employing a team-oriented approach to diabetes management, wellness, and preventive care.

Qualifications:
Must be eligible for licensure in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required. Experience in endocrinology or diabetes care as a PA, NP, clinical student, or RN is preferred.
