Job Summary

Pennsy Supply, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled Ready Mix Concrete Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites, while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a ready mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites, following dispatch instructions and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatchers and customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of concrete.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition and reporting any issues to maintenance personnel.
  • Collect payment from customers and record transactions accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor vehicle gauges and maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, mileage, and other relevant data.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge related to ready mix concrete delivery and customer service.
Requirements
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Class B or better.
  • DOT physical card.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as needed.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist colleagues as needed.
