Reston Hospital Center, a leading provider of healthcare services and part of the nation's largest healthcare company HCA Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Medical Oncology Unit. This is a full-time night shift position that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions within the unit/department during designated shifts. As a CNC, you will collaborate with other management team members to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures. You will also serve as a resource person for staff and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other management team members.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support facility efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Associate Degree or higher.
  • At least 1 year of medical/surgical experience; charge experience is a plus.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and education assistance.
