RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The Alternatives Capital Markets & Strategy (ACMS) group, established in 2019, oversees all institutional capital markets, capital raising, and strategy for alternative investments across Goldman Sachs. The ACMS Group centrally manages capital raising for all alternative products and portfolio solutions for institutional investors, covering private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondaries, GP stakes, impact investing, and absolute-return strategies.
Within ACMS, team members operate within product verticals while also collaborating across strategies to share best practices and identify comprehensive solutions in partnership with the ACMS Client Strategy Teams. Professional development initiatives are coordinated centrally across the ACMS Group, providing regular opportunities to enhance expertise across all alternative investment products and to deepen market knowledge from industry experts.
The Private Equity Product Strategy Team within ACMS is tasked with capital raising and investor relations for the firm’s direct private equity strategies on a global scale. This team collaborates closely with ACMS capital markets, research, strategy, and alternatives fundraising teams, as well as private equity investing and fund management teams on all facets of fundraising and investor relations. Additionally, the team works in conjunction with the firm’s institutional, retail, and private wealth distribution channels across a wide array of new and existing funds, separately managed accounts, and co-investments.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional quantitative, writing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity regarding alternative investment strategies, particularly in private markets.
- Prior experience in investing, capital markets, investment banking, or investor relations is advantageous.
