Over the past two years, SIG has successfully completed more than 25 transactions across diverse sectors, including healthcare, government services, manufacturing, industrial distribution, and business and consumer services.

Position Overview:

The Private Equity Associate will engage in sourcing private equity deals and executing live transactions across a variety of target industries. Responsibilities include analyzing exit strategies and monitoring portfolio companies. Associates will participate in transaction due diligence, valuation assessments, leveraged buyout (LBO) modeling, financing strategies, and contract negotiations. Additionally, Associates will spearhead proprietary deal sourcing initiatives and contribute to SIG's business development and marketing efforts. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the firm's Partners and engage directly with management teams, external advisors, lenders, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

Associates will be accountable for a wide array of tasks, including:

  • Conducting financial analysis, modeling, and preparing investment memorandums.
  • Executing acquisition due diligence and financing processes.
  • Performing business, industry, and competitive analyses.
  • Sourcing and evaluating potential acquisition targets.
  • Engaging in fundraising and managing investor relations.
  • Developing and implementing various internal initiatives for the firm.

Qualifications:

SIG is in search of a highly driven, intelligent, and innovative self-starter with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or consulting.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and analytical tasks; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and a solid understanding of business strategy and finance.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
