SUMMARY:
As an EMT Security Specialist, you will safeguard industrial or commercial properties from fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access by executing various essential tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities will be detailed in assigned post orders. Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Adhering to all assigned post orders, both general and specific.
  • Conducting regular patrols of buildings and grounds within industrial or commercial sites.
  • Monitoring lobbies, corridors, and public areas, collaborating with management, interviewing guests and employees, and investigating disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and accidents.
  • Inspecting public areas for fire hazards, unsafe conditions, and missing safety equipment.
  • Ensuring security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Adjusting thermostatic controls to maintain appropriate temperatures in facilities.
  • Examining equipment and machinery for signs of tampering.
  • Documenting inspection trips and reporting any irregularities.
  • Warning violators of rule infractions and taking appropriate action against suspicious or criminal activities.
  • Regulating vehicle and pedestrian traffic at facility entrances.
  • Responding to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or fire departments as necessary.
  • Assisting management and enforcement officers during emergencies.
  • Maintaining emergency medical supplies and equipment.
  • Performing occupational health duties such as drug screenings and physical assessments.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities. Security personnel will report to Branch/Account Managers and Supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to apply common sense in various situations.
  • Ability to operate basic computer programs as required.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands of this role include:
  • Regularly standing, walking, and talking or hearing.
  • Occasionally lifting and moving up to 25 pounds.
  • Being able to respond quickly in emergencies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment may include exposure to outside weather conditions and varying levels of noise. Employees must perform duties without risk to themselves or others.
