Emergency Medical Technician

As an Emergency Medical Technician at AdventHealth, you will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service to provide efficient and acceptable care to ill and injured patients. You will perform assessments based on your scope of training and medical protocols to determine and apply methods of treatment and transport. You will operate the ambulance in a safe and professional manner while obeying traffic rules and regulations with regards to safety of occupants and all others. You will complete patient care reports, checklists, daily duties, and all other required documentation per established practices, guidelines, and regulations. You will follow all established policies, procedures, guidelines, objectives, medical protocols, safety protocols, environmental, and infection control standards, both written and verbal, to assure a safe and effective work environment. You will assist personnel with a higher level of training to provide effective care. You will provide exceptional customer service skills to patients, families, bystanders, other response agency personnel at all times. You will provide support for community service and relationship functions as requested by leadership.
Responsibilities
* Responds to requests for emergency and non-emergency calls for service as dispatched by E-911 to provide efficient and acceptable care to ill and injured patients
* Performs assessment based on scope of training and medical protocols to determine and apply methods of treatment and transport
* Operates the ambulance in a safe and professional manner while obeying traffic rules and regulations with regards to safety of occupants and all others
* Completes patient care reports, checklists, daily duties, and all other required documentation per established practices, guidelines, and regulations
* Follows all established policies, procedures, guidelines, objectives, medical protocols, safety protocols, environmental, and infection control standards, both written and verbal, to assure a safe and effective work environment
* Assists personnel with a higher level of training to provide effective care

Qualifications
* Must be certified as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician in the state of Georgia
* Must have current BLS
* Must have current driver's license
* Must obtain NIMS 700,800, ICS 100,200 within 90 days
