Job Summary

Assembly Systems is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling pre-cut steel and aluminum components to complete a finished product.

This is a dynamic and varied position that requires a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for grinding, welding, and some wiring, as well as adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform wire feed carbon steel horizontal welding and some vertical welds
  • Handle material, including moving steel or aluminum onto fixtures and jigs
  • Fabricate according to print, with a willingness to ask for clarification when needed
  • Adhere to administrative policies and practices, including logging time spent on a job and keeping files up to date
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  1. Ability to perform physical work
  2. High school degree or G.E.D.
  3. Ability to use and understand basic tools, such as tape measure and prints/drawings
  4. Positive attitude and punctuality
  5. Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Welding experience
  2. Wiring experience
  3. Experience with drawings and prints, diagrams, etc.
  4. Experience with material handling equipment, including skid steer and forklift
