Assembly Systems is a thriving enterprise that offers fulfilling career opportunities for a diverse workforce. We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team in the role of Welder/Fabricator.
This multifaceted position involves the fabrication and assembly of pre-manufactured steel or aluminum components, both large and small, to create a finished product. Responsibilities include grinding and some electrical wiring. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment is essential. The Welder/Fabricator will work both independently and collaboratively, playing a crucial role in our assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily performing wire feed welding on carbon steel, with occasional vertical welds.
- Handling materials, including positioning steel or aluminum on fixtures and jigs.
- Fabricating according to specifications, with a proactive approach to seeking clarification to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Complying with all administrative protocols, including accurate time logging and file maintenance.
- Executing additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to engage in physical labor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using basic tools such as tape measures and understanding technical drawings.
- Demonstrated positive attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior welding experience.
- Experience with electrical wiring.
- Familiarity with interpreting drawings, prints, and diagrams.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and skid steers.
