About the Role

Are you ready to work on complex projects that can potentially change the world? Leidos is seeking a highly experienced Software Systems Engineer to join our team in Columbia, MD.

The Leidos National Security Sector has a career opportunity for a Principal Software Systems Engineer to work on a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of large, collection systems.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all commitments are well defined, documented, reported, designed, provisioned, tested and appropriately managed and deployed.
  • Developing custom modules/libraries for Robot framework to assist in test development.
  • Creating Bash or Python scripts to further automate and test in-house software packages.
  • Providing training to software and system engineering teams on in-house software testing packages.
  • Performing systems engineering activities and assisting in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas associated with the System Engineering Lifecycle.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and have a Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge in the following toolsets: JIRA, Design, Integration and Analysis (DI&A) tool, SAISON, and Robot Framework.
