About the Role

Riverview Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Activity Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the rehabilitation of our patients through therapeutic activities and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement therapeutic activity programs to promote physical and emotional well-being in patients.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to enhance cognitive, motor, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters socialization, creativity, and self-expression.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Recreation Therapy, Art Therapy, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Registered Therapeutic Recreation (RTR) is preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in Behavioral Healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF settings is preferred.
  • Assaultive Behavior Management training within six months of hire and annual maintenance is required.
