Massage Therapist

St Croix Hospice is seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team.

The Massage Therapist will provide massage therapy services to patients under the direction of the clinical supervisor or clinical director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in massage therapy and excellent communication skills.

• Provide direct massage therapy services to patients according to the plan of care.
• Assess patients for appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy.
• Treat patients to relieve symptoms and provide relaxation and comfort.
• Direct and aid patients through massage therapy interventions to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, muscle tension, circulation, stiffness, contractures, limited mobility, relaxation, and comfort.
• Utilize interventions such as Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, Energy work, and compressions.
• Bring awareness to the clinical team of appropriateness and/or contraindications for treatment.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment and changes in patient condition.
• Provide education and awareness to the clinical team regarding appropriateness or contraindications for therapy treatment.
• Maintain necessary records, including clinical notes, problem charting, and coordination notes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary group and organization in-service education program as needed.
• Participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities as needed.

• Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with a minimum of 600 hours of training in massage therapy.
• Current licenses or certifications as required by state law.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
