Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the nursing department, ensuring that all staff are equipped to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Staff Development: Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning, providing opportunities for staff to develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or management required. 10 years of experience preferred.
- Licensure and Certification: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Hospice Experience: Strongly preferred.
- Healthcare Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare or hospice management strongly preferred.
