Job Title: Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Addison Group. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical equipment, including transformers, at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain electrical equipment, including transformers, at customer sites.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil sampling and unit inspections.
  • Conduct safety site walks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Re-gasket transformers with minimal supervision.
  • Remove broken parts and prepare for transportation.
  • Complete turn ratios, power factor tests, and meg tests correctly as assigned.
  • Perform full testing scope, including Doble, winding resistance, insulation resistance, and CT testing.
  • Safely utilize industrial equipment, following capacity and load limits.
  • Follow all environmental specifications for the area, especially related to spill containment.
Requirements:
  • Well-rounded transformer technicians should handle a minimum of 1500 KV up to 750 MBA, 345 KV including green boxes and large utility substation transformers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
