KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage the financial responsibilities of patients.
  • Update patient insurance benefits in OncoEMR and Centricity, ensuring services align with appropriate diagnoses and insurance coverage.
  • Perform daily tasks as a Managed Care and Financial Counselor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, especially in clinical or administrative roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is necessary.
  • Familiarity with managed care procedures, ICD9 and CPT coding, along with experience in collections is important.
  • Capability to calculate and collect patient financial responsibilities, including insurance co-pays and coinsurance.
