Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at the Pediatric Clinic at Harborview. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
  • Perform injections and prepare exam rooms
  • Submit medication prior authorizations and recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and providers
  • Assist providers with procedures and medical exams
  • Perform point-of-care testing and report abnormal laboratory values

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6 months of hire
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
