Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized nutrition care to patients on inpatient units, taking into account their unique needs and medical conditions.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the nutrition department's performance and patient satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Precept dietetic interns and provide guidance and mentorship to support their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field, with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
- 3 years of experience as a registered dietitian, with a strong track record of providing high-quality patient care and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
