Support Specialist for Special Needs Students

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will work closely with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. You will provide support in the classroom by helping students with their academic tasks, including literacy and math activities.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The successful candidate will have at least 18 years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a genuine passion for working with children. A degree in psychology or related field is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities- Implement IEPs for students with special needs
- Provide support in the classroom, including literacy and math activities
- Assist students with self-help skills, such as toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $35,000 per year, based on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
