Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. As a key member of our engineering and facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and problem-solving.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification and/or refrigeration or electrical license/certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the property.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year technical diploma program in HVAC/refrigeration or related field.
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
