Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex MRI procedures to produce high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure patient comfort and confidence.
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Position patients and utilize equipment to capture requested images.
  • Administer medications within scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records in paper and electronic formats.
  • Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance checks on imaging equipment.
  • Assist other areas of radiology as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
  • Advanced ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in radiology.
