Phlebotomy Specialist

As a Phlebotomist Laboratory Assistant II, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with clinical, technical, and business professionals across all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients of all ages, utilizing knowledge of growth and development to communicate effectively with diverse age groups.
- Process clinical specimens for diagnostic laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Access patient records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth laboratory operations, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Stay up-to-date with laboratory procedures, protocols, and regulations, participating in ongoing education and training.
Requirements:
- Certification as a PBT or MLA by a minimum knowledge-based exam, such as the Board of Certification PBT(ASCP) or MLA(ASCP).
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with phlebotomy training and experience in an outpatient or hospital setting preferred.
