Medical Assistant

The Department of State Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our healthcare team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Create and update treatment plans using various computer programs.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by applying medical and mental health procedures and techniques.
- Perform clinical duties, including obtaining patient vital signs, administering vaccinations, and performing infectious disease testing and blood draws.
- Attend all trainings, meetings, and committees as directed.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a valid certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical Assistant.
Working ConditionsThis position requires working within the Secured Treatment Area (STA).
Special RequirementsYou must include a copy of your valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical Assistant.
