Job Title: Hospice Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a per diem basis (20 hours/week) in Buncombe/Haywood Counties. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Applying your knowledge of nursing theories and concepts to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Coordinating physical care with patients, families, physicians, and our Hospice team
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel
  • Participating in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of home health and hospice care programs and the nurse's role in patient care
  • Working knowledge of nursing principles and practices, as well as reimbursement guidelines
  • 12 hours of continuing education annually and CPR certification
  • Ability to accept travel assignments and work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
