We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Service Technician to join our team at Bland Landscaping Company. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining irrigation systems for our commercial and residential landscape customers.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Install new irrigation systems as needed to meet customer requirements.
- Load and unload heavy equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Manage daily workloads and schedules to meet customer needs.
- Plan and coordinate equipment and material collection for each day's tasks.
- Participate in regular crew and department meetings to discuss progress and safety.
- Submit daily timesheets and record materials used for billing purposes.
- Perform administrative tasks, including paperwork and data entry.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and equipment.
- Operate company-owned vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Utilize technology for communication and data management.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to plan and coordinate daily tasks.
- Perform daily start-up and shut-down procedures.
- Ensure high-quality work and efficient time management.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Diagnose and repair irrigation controllers.
- Operate construction equipment, including trenchers, tamps, excavators, skid loaders, mini track loaders, and boring equipment.
- Use electrical diagnostic equipment, including locators, multi-meters, and wire tracers.
- Operate a pressure washer and hand tools, such as shovels, picks, rakes, and pipe cutting tools.
- $19 - $26 hourly pay

- 1 1/2 years of experience in irrigation system repair and maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to bend and stoop frequently
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work around environmental risks, such as bees, poison ivy, and pollen
- Valid NC driver's license and good driving record (CDL preferred)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Willingness to obtain NC pesticide applicators license
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
