About the Role:
The Electronics Testing Engineer will be instrumental in the design and development of testing protocols for electronic printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assemblies. This role requires a deep understanding of electronic principles, testing methodologies, and electrical engineering practices.

This position involves:

  • Creating test fixture hardware and software to effectively evaluate electronic products.
  • Assessing product designs for their testability and integrating testing philosophies into new designs.

Work Environment:
This role operates in a hybrid model, allowing for both remote work and in-office collaboration on designated days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze schematics and develop hardware and software solutions for testing electronic systems.
  • Create software to ensure products meet design specifications and industry standards.
  • Design and troubleshoot electronic and mechanical interfaces for testing purposes.
  • Identify and rectify inefficiencies in testing processes to enhance production yield.
  • Innovate and implement new testing technologies and methodologies.
  • Participate in product development discussions to guarantee testability.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design cost-effective testing equipment and conduct design reviews.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to interpret test results and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support testing systems at manufacturing sites.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of five years of experience in designing manufacturing test equipment and software for electronic systems. Proficiency in developing test programs using NI TestStand, C# .NET, or similar programming languages is essential. Familiarity with NI LabVIEW and schematic capture tools like Altium is advantageous but not mandatory.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Experience in selecting appropriate test equipment for manufacturing requirements.
  • Ability to design functional test software applications on Windows OS (knowledge of Linux and Android OS is a plus).
  • Understanding of communication protocols such as USB, RS-232, TTL, RS-485, I2C, SPI, JTAG, and IEEE-488 (GPIB).
  • Knowledge of fitness equipment control systems is beneficial.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field is required.
