Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our growing technical team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge battery technology. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's future and help shape the future of energy storage.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop pilot-scale electrode coating and cell assembly tools based on our proprietary cell technology
- Utilize CAD software such as Solidworks to analyze and optimize tool designs
- Collaborate with external suppliers to customize equipment based on manufacturing processes
- Set up and validate pilot-scale slurry mixer, electrode coater, and other cell fabrication equipment
- Maintain, modify, and optimize equipment in accordance with vendor guidelines
- BS or MS degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a mechanical design role in a Li-ion battery industrial environment
- Hands-on experience with roll-to-roll coater installation, maintenance, and operation
- Experience with vendor qualification and customer interactions
- A desire to work in a fast-paced environment alongside highly technical peers
- Ability to work safely and in compliance with all regulations and quality systems
- Experience with ceramic solid electrolytes is a plus
