We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of capital projects, ensuring they align with corporate policies and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers to review and approve staffing and purchase requests for capital projects, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Ensure that all project budgets are in strict alignment with the company's capitalization policy.
- Oversee the reconciliation of capital spending, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Handle essential tasks during month-end and quarter-end closes, including the preparation of journal entries and financial reporting.
- Prepare detailed monthly forecasts for project spending and asset depreciation, providing key insights to support financial planning.
- Analyze and process intercompany transactions related to capital projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform thorough account reconciliations and financial analysis to support accurate and reliable financial statements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or a Staff Accountant role.
- Proficiency in financial software and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
