Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Coach to join our team at Mental Health Association - Western MA. As a key member of our integrated treatment team, you will provide critical support to individuals struggling with substance use and mental health issues.

About the Role:

  • The Recovery Coach provides individualized support and advocacy to participants, helping them navigate the recovery process and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Promote community engagement and resource utilization, ensuring participants have access to necessary services and support networks.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology) or relevant experience in advocacy or peer support.
  • Lived experience with psychiatric diagnosis, extreme states, substance use, and/or trauma is highly valued.
  • Certification as a Recovery Coach or other relevant certifications (e.g., CADC, LCPC) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and satisfactory driving record.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
