Job Overview

The Mental Health Association - Western MA is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Coach to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting individuals struggling with substance use services, empowering them to live independently in the community.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique perspective and skills related to the recovery process, enabling them to communicate effectively with individuals and advocate for their needs. Key responsibilities include developing individualized action plans, providing support and guidance, and fostering open communication among team members.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, and compassion, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. The successful candidate will be able to engage and build respectful relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

We offer a competitive salary of $$$45,000 - 55,000 annually, depending on experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes health care, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, family leave, and long-term disability.

To qualify, you must have two years of continuous recovery from a substance use disorder, familiarity with psychiatric diagnosis/trauma, and certification as a Recovery Coach (or willingness to obtain within one year). Bilingual Spanish/English speakers are preferred but not mandatory.
