The Senior Quality Assurance Software Analyst plays a crucial role in guaranteeing that both internally developed and externally acquired IT solutions are executed, assessed, and deployed consistently while adhering to established quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the formulation and execution of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and Testing policies, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Guide and manage team members responsible for test execution within a matrix structure.
  • Support the definition and upkeep of software release methodologies for ongoing and future projects.
  • Evaluate and pinpoint gaps and shortcomings in business requirements, technical specifications, designs, and testing documentation to ensure completeness and testability.
  • Assist QA Management with departmental operational tasks.
  • Monitor and report on testing status across various initiatives.
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving and defect management sessions across different functions.
  • Actively seek and disseminate information regarding relevant aspects of Quality Assurance and Testing disciplines to both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Exhibit adaptability in managing testing efforts as project priorities shift.
  • Direct the activities of team members.
  • Collaborate with other IT and business areas to identify and enhance testing processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.

    • Drafting policy documents and resolving issues.
    • Providing expert consultation and advice.
    • Participating in the planning of business objectives.
    • Supplying data for decision-making support.
  • Travel: Up to 5%.

Educational Background and Experience

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems or Business with a minimum of 5 years in the Information Technology sector (5+ years as a Software Quality Engineer/Test Engineer/Test Analyst) or equivalent experience in the Software Quality Assurance domain.

Experience

  • 5+ years in the Information Technology sector (5+ years as a Software Quality Engineer/Test Engineer/Test Analyst) or equivalent experience in the Software Quality Assurance domain.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced experience in Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, including agile, spiral, and waterfall.
  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership to vendors and multiple project team members.
  • Preferred certifications related to the industry, such as ISTQB, CSQA, CQA, CSTE, or CISA.
  • In-depth understanding of quality management and contemporary testing techniques, methodologies, processes, procedures, and metrics for large, complex projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of test planning and test case design for various testing types, including functionality, usability, regression, systems integration, end-to-end, performance, and load testing.
  • Advanced understanding of testing metrics, KPIs, and reporting methods.
  • Ability to draft and analyze reports for a diverse audience, including management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Capacity to mentor and train peers on testing and Quality Assurance practices, both informally and through formal instruction.
  • Adept at multitasking and willing to engage in hands-on testing efforts when necessary.

Physical Requirements

Corporate - In Office - General office environment requiring the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Communicate effectively in person and via phone and video conferencing.
  • Utilize a keyboard and read from computer screens and reports.
  • Lift up to 15 lbs.
