Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assistant duties, including on-the-job training
  • Follow HIPAA and OSHA compliance and safety guidelines
  • Assist providers with procedures
  • Daily stocking and inventory of supplies
  • Electronic medical record recording (E-ClinicalWorks experience a plus)
  • Scribe for providers during office visits (scribing experience a plus)
  • Next day preparation
  • Patient care before, during, and after procedures
  • Travel between clinics, as needed
  • Performing blood draws (experience preferred; on-the-job training provided)
  • Patient Education
    • Assist with patient education with provider's guidance
  • Administrative
    • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
    • Testing of autoclave
    • Reviewing pathology reports and sending to provider
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant, a plus
  • Certified Dermatology Technician, a plus
  • Licensed Practicing Nurse, a plus
  • Clinical experience, preferred
  • Good understanding of skin anatomy and/or willingness to learn
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Well-organized with attention to detail
  • Empathetic with patients' needs and concerns
  • Treats patients and co-workers with respect
  • Ability to work well with physicians; anticipating their needs in regard to patient treatment
  • Love to work in a fast-paced clinic
  • Sterile processing experience, a plus
  • Phlebotomy, a plus
  • Dermatology and E-Clinical Work experience, a plus
