Position SummaryThe Finance Department is seeking a dedicated Accountant to enhance our financial operations and contribute to year-end processes. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP) and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, collaborating closely with the existing Accountant and Finance Department leadership.
- Assist in the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Streamline accounting processes under the guidance of the Deputy Finance Director.
- Perform reconciliations for cash receipts, accounts receivable, payroll, and accounts payable.
- Manage and oversee capital assets, ensuring accurate entries in the Fixed Asset module.
- Conduct monthly audits of GL accounts and prepare necessary journal entries.
- Facilitate the bi-weekly payroll process and ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounting or bookkeeping, with a focus on month-end processes and reconciliations.
Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
