Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nutrition Therapist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Clinical Nutrition Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing optimal medical nutrition therapy to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the nutrition care process to provide patients with optimal medical nutrition therapy.
  • Complete and document nutrition assessments, diagnoses, and interventions.
  • Identify and implement appropriate nutrition interventions, including quality nutrition education based on customer needs, expectations, and culture.
  • Monitor and evaluate individual nutrition outcomes related to nutrition diagnosis, goals, and interventions.
  • Communicate nutrition expertise with all appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently in practice.
  • Precept students.
  • Participate in department continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with other dietitians as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an approved Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) program.
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible.
  • Certified Dietitian in the state of practice or willing to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Food handler's permit (as required by facility).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers (as required by facility).
  • Demonstrated self-starter, detail-oriented, and effective organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a registered dietitian.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to interact with others, operate computers and other equipment, see and read computer monitors and documents, and remain sitting or standing for long periods of time.
