Job SummaryThis role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medical Design Specialist, where you will be responsible for designing user-centric solutions for interface elements, including devices, packaging, digital ancillaries, and instructional materials in collaboration with the lead designer.
Responsibilities- Develop user-centered designs for medical devices, combination products, and digital products, including packaging and instructional materials, working closely with the lead designer.
- Conduct exploratory research to gather user insights and design trends, evaluate user interface concepts, translate user needs into user experience and interface requirements, and iteratively evaluate device user interfaces to ensure optimal user experience.
- Create user journeys, user interface illustrations, storyboards, prototypes, and wireframes to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
- Leverage expertise in scoping, practicing, and delivering physical and digital product designs, including medical devices, combination products, digital products, and accompanying packaging, focusing on industrial design and user interface design.
- Develop product instructional design strategy, including instructional style guides and best practices, covering instructions for use, quick reference guides, packaging branding, and other product labeling.
To succeed in this role, you should have a Master's degree and 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, industrial/creative design, medical illustration, information design, user experience, usability engineering, or relevant degrees in device design or biotech industry or consumer technology.
Key Skills- Proficiency in UX/UI design principles, including user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Mastery of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and 3D CAD tools like Solidworks or Fusion 360.
- Familiarity with MS Windows operating systems and software applications.
- Strong visual and graphic design skills with a focus on user experience.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in medical device design.
We offer a competitive U.S. base salary range of $96,600 - $151,800, commensurate with your level of experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a hybrid work arrangement, which allows you to balance your work and personal life effectively.
