Job Overview

Equiliem is seeking a highly skilled Precision Fabrication Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting ultra-high precision optical and mechanical fabrication using advanced technologies such as diamond turning lathes and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience in both milling and turning subtractive manufacturing technologies (manual and CNC), with the ability to design and fabricate basic fixtures. They will also be proficient in reading mechanical drawings and have a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about learning new fabrication and metrology technologies, with a strong desire to work with cutting-edge equipment. If you are motivated by challenges and eager to take on new responsibilities, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements
  • Experience in milling and turning subtractive manufacturing technologies (manual and CNC)
  • Ability to design and fabricate basic fixtures
  • Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and GD&T
  • Familiarity with CAM software (CAMWorks or hyperMILL) and 3D modeling (SolidWorks)
  • Basic hand tools and inspection equipment skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desired Skills
  • Diamond turning lathe operation
  • Measurement of surface roughness using an Interferometer
  • Familiarity with G-code and macros
  • Knowledge of digital fabrication tools (Model Based Definition and Product Lifecycle Management)
About the Role
