About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and residents in preparing for and performing surgical procedures, including selecting and passing instruments, medical supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of aseptic technique during all operative procedures, including surgical attire, hand scrub, gowning, gloving, and boundary maintenance.
  • Identify and address breaches in aseptic technique, implementing interventions to resolve issues.
  • Participate in all phases of reprocessing, including decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, documentation, and problem resolution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • Preferred Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology.
  • Certification or re-certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within one month of hire.
  • NBSTA Surgical Technologist certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer systems, including email, e-learning, intranet, and computer navigation.
  • Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.
Work Environment
  • Part-time, relief position.
  • Rotating shifts.
