Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our team at WestLand Resources. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for managing and developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets in alignment with client and firm needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Manage project progress using project management software
  • Conduct and/or direct project-specific research
  • Write and/or supervise the writing of project reports
  • Review reports for accuracy and adherence to agency guidelines
  • Schedule project resources and ensure projects are staffed appropriately
  • Train and mentor junior staff in field activities and in developing research & compliance documents
  • Interact with environmental compliance agencies and other government bodies
  • Maintain regular and productive communication with current clients
  • SOURCE AND DEVELOP NEW CLIENTELE

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in natural resources, environmental science, geology, soil science, or related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with environmental permitting of projects, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404, Endangered Species Act (ESA), State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), Oregon Goal 5, the Oregon Environmental Protection Act and other similar state and local environmental regulations
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing projects of increasing complexity
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with a range of diverse clients and regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to complete complex projects in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exemplary communication skills (written and oral)
