POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Real Estate Investment Analyst, you will work under the guidance of a manager to facilitate the thorough evaluation of new development and financing prospects. Your role will involve collaboration across multiple business divisions and direct engagement with leadership. Your analytical contributions will be crucial in guiding strategic decisions and optimizing the allocation of resources for significant projects that enhance the company's profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute intricate financial modeling and data analysis (using Microsoft Excel) for large-scale development projects across diverse asset classes.
  • Prepare and deliver regular presentations and reports for stakeholders, including lenders, investors, and management.
  • Construct fund waterfalls and promote economic structures for real estate transactions.
  • Develop and sustain robust business and financial models to extract actionable insights.
  • Assist in the evaluation of funds and equity partners.
  • Support ongoing acquisitions and strategic initiatives through continuous analysis and project oversight.
  • Collect industry data and competitive intelligence from both external and internal sources.
  • Assist with public financing mechanisms such as Opportunity Zones Funds, Management Districts, Municipal Utility Districts, TIRZ, and sales tax agreements.
  • Collaborate effectively with professionals and information sources to gather and consolidate data, draw conclusions, and communicate key analytics to team members.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or analysis, with a focus on commercial real estate development or underwriting.
  • Experience in real estate, private equity, or investment banking is preferred.
  • Proficient in creating financial models using advanced Excel functions, including MACROS.
  • Strong foundation in financial and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent comprehension of return metrics.
  • Adept in quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with team members and external consultants.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional administrative and analytical skills.
  • Personal attributes: self-motivated, inquisitive, capable of working independently, strong problem-solving skills, proactive, resourceful, excellent communication abilities, organized, and high energy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Argus software is a plus.
