Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments through patient interviews and medical record reviews.
  • Work closely with Anesthesiologists to determine the most suitable anesthesia plans based on patient evaluations.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of patient-specific needs and provide tailored anesthesia care.
  • Regularly inspect anesthesia equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Prepare and administer medications in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to maintain stability and respond to any complications.
  • Perform postoperative evaluations within 24 hours to ensure recovery.
  • Support the development of student nurse anesthetists through mentorship.
  • Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and adhere to departmental protocols.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and healthcare team members.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
  • Possess a valid Registered Nurse License in California.
  • Hold certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in California.
  • Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist National Certification.

Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience in administering anesthesia for complex procedures, including effective monitoring and fluid management across various age groups.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical and technical skills as outlined by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs.
  • Strong abilities in documentation, equipment management, and staff training.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $150,000 to $205,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
